Hi! I’m Jill. I’m a busy working mom of two preschoolers and I am passionate about God and about my family.
About 6 months ago, I decided that I needed to be “faithful in little” in order to be trusted with much. It became clear to me that although our family had enough income not to worry about pinching pennies in groceries and household matters, if we ever are to achieve a long-term goal of ours, I must prove that I can be faithful in what I have right now. That way, when we start working on our long-term goal, I will have developed the skills necessary to spend money wisely and save where I can.
Let me tell you, I’m learning the hard way that it is a difficult balancing act. Time is limited as it is as a working mom, and saving money through shopping sales and couponing does take time. Add that to the deep conviction that I am not to short my family time at all, it becomes a challenge.
I hope that through this blog I can share my journey with you, and if you find yourself identifying with my journey, perhaps you can pick up some things I’ve learned, and as I add to the site, I will want your tips, too!
In addition, I’ve always had a passion for writing about the Bible and writing devotionals. That’s my primary passion to be honest, so I want to be able to share that with you as well.
Meshing together serving my family and following Christ is where “Bibs and Aprons” come from. The “Bib” represents our need to be fed spiritually so we can grow in our walk with God. The “Apron” represents the call of us as moms to serve our family. Multiple Scriptures (like Proverbs 31 and Titus 2) show us that as wives and mothers, our primary sphere of influence is our homes.
With all that said, thank you for your patience as I build this blog around a busy working schedule. I look forward to sharing this journey together!
