Originally launched as a blog to share my everyday journey as a wife, mom, believer in Christ, and gardener, the Journey with Jill online space has changed course a bit to focus on leading women deeper into the Bible.
Frustrated with what I see as an empty space between lighthearted, encouraging devotionals and heavy, theological materials, I seek to guide everyday women deeper into studying God’s Word in a way that meets heart-level need in a way that doesn’t overwhelm.
We crave more than the appetizing sweetness of devotionals but often we don’t have time or mental space to delve into deeper theological resources available. The space in between is where I sought to provide an option to women to fill that void.
My two Bible studies, Journey through Acts and Journey to Freedom, offer a unique blend of devotional reading, commentary, and journaling that guides the reader to take a guided plunge into the beautiful, bottomless ocean of God’s Spirit-Inspired Word.
And in between Bible study writing, I still share my everyday journey with my bi-weekly “Coffee Talk” e-mail I send out every other Wednesday.

On a personal note, my husband Matt and I met in college and we’ve been married for 17 years. We live in the Russellville, Arkansas area with our children, Drew and Alyssa; our dog Lucy; three cats; and fifteen chickens.
After working as a manager at a local Ford dealership for a decade after college, God made the way for me to stay home with our children in January 2013. Since then I’ve pursued my lifelong passion of writing and have also discovered a new passion – gardening! You can check out the gardening portion of Journey with Jill here.
